Local Birding Tours

Do you want to learn more about birds of Maine or just spend time with other birders? Join our birding expert Kevin Rogers for a fun and informative birding adventure. These bird outings are designed for birders and / bird-watchers of all levels and will focus on bird identification, fun and interesting facts about bird natural history, and a look at various bird behaviors.
Each trip you will get the chance to improve your birding skills, ask questions about birds and bird watching, and travel to different Maine locations. The destinations selected will include specific habitats best suited for that time of year, which will maximize the opportunities to see fun and interesting bird species.

Birding Tour Leader - Kevin Rogers

Kevin has over 15 years as a professional birder. It all began as a child spending many hours just learning about different species from his Audubon Field Guide, watching birds in his backyard, and along the shore from his dad’s lobster boat. As a professional ornithologist he has worked on research projects studying nearly every species found in New England. Throughout his career he has led numerous bird walks for various conservation organizations, and assisted with several Bird Atlas projects. Kevin also runs the Maine Birds Facebook group where he shares his birding knowledge with the 30,000 members there as often as he can.
