COVID-19 UPDATE:

To Our Valued Maine Sport & Maine Island Lodge Customers,

As a family-owned company, the importance of the health and well-being of our employees, customers and greater community cannot be understated. For that reason, we are closing our store beginning March 17, 2020 and will remain closed until further notice. We appreciate everyone's patience during this time. For questions, please email maineislandlodge@mainesport.com.

Please note that there may be a long delay before we are able to respond to future inquiries.  Please also note that all requested refunds within the guidelines of the cancellation policy will be processed in full, and we will get back in touch as soon as this crisis resolves. Any cancellations made by the customer 30 days or more in advance will result in a 100% refund. If conditions persist to the point where we feel it is unsafe to run a trip and we cancel, a 100% refund will be given.

The Maine Island Lodge is a unique destination situated in Muscongus Bay, Maine.  This westerly facing lodge has access to some of the best paddling on the coast and has all the amenities to make your island experience a memorable one.  The lodge can accommodate up to 12 guests and has both shared and private bathroom options.  This “off-the-grid” island lodge comes complete with bedding, meals, hot showers, and significant shore frontage for exploring.  Not into kayaking or paddling?  No worries, the lodge is an exceptional place to relax, explore, and catch up with new and old acquaintances.

The Maine Island Lodge is staffed by a Lodge Caretaker who is responsible for general maintenance of the property and grounds, food preparation, re-supplies, traditional lobster bakes, and boat transport.  In addition to managing the lodge, the caretaker looks after the 6 tent-sites and low-element ropes course on the property.

The lodge is available for reservation on dates when it is not being utilized by our Outdoor Programs Department for Multi-Day Sea Kayak Trips, Guide Training, Staff Training, Wilderness Medicine Courses, School Programming, and trips in collaboration with Down East Magazine.  A 2-night minimum is required for booking.
