After their presentation, "The Lure of Long-distance Trails," Tom and Laurie will spend time answering questions and signing books.
Tom Jamrog’s memoir, In the Path of Young Bulls: An Odyssey on America’s Continental Divide Trail details a multigenerational team’s five months of daily challenges along the Continental Divide National Scenic Trail, one of the country’s toughest long-distance treks. Having already thru-hiked both the Appalachian Trail and the Pacific Crest Trail, Jamrog’s latest adventure earned him the prestigious Triple Crown award in 2014. He is a registered Maine Guide with Uncle Tom’s Guided Adventures in Lincolnville.
Upwards: The Story of the First Woman to Solo Thru-Paddle the Northern Forest Canoe Trail provides one of the first looks at the country’s longest mapped inland paddling trail, which follows historic native waterways across New England.
