FAQs
Freshwater Fishing Trip
What kind of fish might we catch?
Our waters hold smallmouth and largemouth bass, Brooke, brown and rainbow trout, pickerel, crappie, perch, and sunfish. Any of these are a distinct possibility.
Do I need to bring my gear?
Your guide will have everything you need to catch fish.
Will lunch be provided?
Your guide will provide snacks and water on half-day trips, and a boxed lunch from a local market will be provided on full-day trips.
What else should I bring?
Always a good idea to bring sunscreen, a hat, a camera, and a warm top or windbreaker to dress for the ever-changing weather.
Will I need a Maine fishing license?
Yes, day licenses can be purchased online at https://www.maine.gov/ifw/fishing-boating/fishing/licenses-permits/index.html
Where will I meet my guide?
Most trips depart from the store, but your guide will let you know via phone, text, or email where to meet a day or two before the trip departs.
Saltwater Fishing Trip
Will I need a Maine fishing license?
No. Fishing licenses are not required in saltwater.
My spouse loves fresh fish. Can we keep what we catch?
Of course, as long as the fish are legal-sized. You can keep your limit, and most guides are happy to fillet your fish at the ramp when the day is over.
How long are the trips?
We offer 3, 4, and 8-hour trip options, or can customize any trip to your liking.
What kind of boats will we be fishing from?
Our guides offer a few different options ranging from center console to a rowed wooden dory. We also offer wading trips on ledges and flats.
