The Rottefella BC Auto has been used to cross Greenland, to ski to both poles and have proven their worth over many years of heavy use. The automatic version is easy to use, just push down on the button in front of the metal bar to open the jaws, slot the toe of the boot in and release, and that's it. To release simply push the button down with the poles and lift the boot out. These bindings clamp tightly to the metal bar at the front of the boot sole and additional lateral support is supplied by the ridges on the bindings, which slot into the grooves in the boot sole to give good lateral control. Superbly versatile bindings, the Rottefella BC Auto bindings are equally at home skiing around the local park, touring for the weekend or heading off for a month-long expedition.
